5-week pregnancy yoga course

Pregnancy is a time of profound change — physically, emotionally and hormonally.
This 5-week pregnancy yoga course is designed to offer a calm, informative and safe space where you can slow down, connect with your body, and feel gently supported as your pregnancy unfolds.

Whether this is your first pregnancy or your fourth (!), you are warmly welcome.

This course is not about achieving poses or pushing your body. Instead, it offers time to listen inwardly, build trust in your body’s wisdom, and learn simple, supportive practices you can return to again and again — throughout pregnancy and into birth.

What to expect

Each weekly session blends gentle, pregnancy-appropriate practices to support both physical comfort and emotional wellbeing, including:

  • Guided meditation and visualisation to calm the nervous system

  • Breathing exercises to support relaxation, resilience and birth preparation

  • Gentle movement to ease common pregnancy aches and tensions

  • Pelvic floor awareness and functional support

  • Space to meet, connect and share with other pregnant mums

As the weeks progress, we will gradually introduce new practices, allowing you to build a toolkit of techniques that can support you through pregnancy and into birth, in a way that feels steady, accessible and manageable.

No previous yoga experience is needed. All practices are offered with choice, modifications, and rest is always welcome.

A supportive space

My aim for this course is to create a space that feels:

  • Calm and unhurried

  • Clear, informative and reassuring

  • Supportive, inclusive and non-judgemental

Pregnancy can bring many questions, sensations and emotions. These classes offer a place to be with whatever is present, while being gently held within a small group of other pregnant women walking a similar path.

Course details

  • Starts: Thursday 5th March

  • Time: 6:15pm

  • Location: Health Hub, Kingsbridge

  • Duration: 5 weeks

  • Suitable from: Second trimester (12 weeks) until birth

  • Experience: No previous yoga experience needed

All mats and props are provided — just bring yourself.

Cost & community support

This course is offered at a subsidised cost of £40 for all 5 classes, in order to keep pregnancy support accessible.

10% of all course fees are donated to MotherBorn CIC, supporting vital community-based care for mothers and families in our local area.

By joining this course, you are not only supporting your own wellbeing during pregnancy, but also contributing to wider maternal support within the community.
